The hubby and I are off to Las Vegas tomorrow for a romantic weekend. What I would like are suggestions of a great place to take a photo of the night skyline or places like that. We won't be renting a car, and I won't be walking much as I'm almost 7 months pregnant.

Just took a look at them, I think the night shots are much more appealing to me. Great photos alfresco!! I think I'll be busy taking plenty of pictures. The last time I was there was in 93, on a camping tour so I'm looking forward to seeing the changes.

Bring a wide angle lens--the streets are wide, but the buildings are huge. Last time I was there, all I had was a P&S that only went as wide as 41mm, and that wasn't nearly wide enough.

Places -- depends on your taste. In front of Ceaser's, the Balagio fountain, the Belagio pool area, the front of the Venetial, the gondola by the Venetian, Mandaly Bay's beach area....

I got thrown off the sidewalk of New York New York ... apparently my camera was too "professional" and I wasn't allowed to take pictures there.

Well garsh Michele, thanks for pointing me out :)

I stayed at the Imperial, basically in the middle of the strip. Caesars is right across the street, venetian down to the right, everything else a little way to the left.

If you're sure that whole "pregnant thing" is going to stop you from walking too much *j/k* there is a monorail connecting the major casinos. More info on monorail

Everything is a good photo at night - soooo many lights and colors and shapes! I'd second everything hankk said ... you can't beat any of the major casinos - they are just toooo much!

mandyturner was just there as well!

Have a good trip!!!!

Here are my photos from a recent trip to Vegas

Also, you may want to contact scenic airlines 1-800-CANYON for a flight over the Grand Canyon which I thought was great.
