Just wanted to say thanks for everyone who gave your suggestions with my business card yesterday! So I've been working on it & here's what I've come up with. Better? any thoughts?
I think I'll do a few much like this one to give out to different types of clients. Thanks again for all the ideas!
~Laura

Email address?
Home address?
I assume you do baby pics...i might infer you shoot families. I would not assume art, weddings, or possibly even other portraiture.
But then, that's me.

I have not see the previous version, but I just not a fan of dropshadow on bussinnes-cards, and that the L & S of your first & last name is over the line. I think it would be nicer, if the line is cut on those places. The rest (photo) looks fine, what's the size 85mm by 55mm ??

88 x 50 (or 3.5 x 2 inches)
I tried it with out the drop shadow & it didn't have as big of an impact...
you can see some other tries in my business card portfolio folder |

I didn't include those because eh- I just didn't see the need. I guess maybe an e-mail would be good, but they will be able to get that from the website. I was going to do a series with different types of photos because people were saying the three photo card was too busy and the images were too small... |

I love it Laura. Nice job fading the picture into the white background. Does seem to need an e-mail but that's your preference I think. an "8" from me. :)

Yea, I think that's your best attempt so far. I like it.
Have you tried a simpler/cleaner font for the text? |

Well, I've been using the papyrus as my font for about three years now so I really want to keep it... I could soften the dropshadow a bit so it's clearer. |

I'd put a phone number there, if not your address. To me, that would show your willing to add a personal touch by speaking to them, not just sending e-mails back and forth. It would also make it easier for them to get in touch with you, not have to go online to do it. Just my .01 worth.

I mean, really, I think we should invoke a site rule and put it in the bylaws that all displayed business cards should have a 555-5555 suffix for clarity.

I find this humorous. Not just you do this, but many folks.
Why????
You want business. You must advertise to get it. You plan on or have a website already - probably with your phone number on it. If not, is should be there. So your number is out there for the world to see - and you want them to see it. So what do you do here? Hide it!
Just to show how brave I am, or at least, i put my mouth where my foot is going to be
(and yes, i changed the email address on the final cards)
