Has anyone tried selling any of their work at area flea markets? We have a rather large and popular one near our house and space is cheap. I was considering giving it a shot after the holidays and wanted to see if anyone else has tried and if so, with any success?

Framed or not would by question - and if you do sell, what sells best (landscapes, local scenes, sunsets...etc)

I was planning on framing. I have done some for Christmas for my family this year and was impressed with how well they came out just using $4 frames from Wal-Mart. Trying anything and everything I can think of to make some money to upgrade my equipment.

I have done (am doing) pet portraits for the holidays in conjenction with a pet grooming business. they handle the advertising/booking of appts and i take the shots and colelct the money (they get a %). Working very well. I should make about $500. Of course this has shown me how much more equipment i do need (alien bees! pocket wizards!)
I have done the cheap framing thing as well. Matted look SOO much better, as do mounted prints. but then you're cost is pushing $20-30 an image.
I want to try one of those giclee prints on canvas (mpix or winkflash have them). mpix offeres them on stretched canvas, just like a painting! Show a few of those at a flea market and you can sell them unframed for as much as a print framed i bet.
