Hey guys...

I have been working on this slowly over the last few months and have finally found time to put a few pictures into it and upload it to the web!

Please take 5 mins to have a look and let me know what you think.
To save you searching and head scratching, the "Portrait" and "Wedding" sections don't have any photos in there yet...
I plan on updating the pictures currently in the other sections when I get time to take/sort out some better ones, but feedback on the ones that are there is always good!

Address is www.pix-al.co.uk or click HERE

Thanks,
AL.

Hey thats a site that's worth looking at, but I don't understand your double navigation. (top & bottom) And the fonts of that look a bit crispy, and a tiny critique on your images border.. (get rid of that standard blue, or use a greyisch colour :-))

The rest looks pretty neat !

Cheers,

The border you mention -is that on the multiple thumbs pages?
I think I forgot to put the code in there to get rid of the blue!!! Thanks for noticing!

The double navigation thing was just to balance the page a bit.
It works well if you are lazy and your mouse pointer is at the bottom of the screen too - LOL

OK - Fixed the blue borders. taken them out completely.

Thanks for spotting that! I use Opera as a browser and had set the links colors so that they don't show, so when I viewed the pages, there were no borders. I just used IE to check it and of course there they were! All gone now though...

ok- I love the clean look of it but for me the portrait and weddings do not come up and the landscapes seem very alike to me. I might mix it up a little image-wise. All I can offer right now seeing that most pages won't load properly...

As I said in the first post - the Portrait and Wedding Sections don't actually have any pics in yet and I do plan on varying the landscapes once I sort out some better photographs...

That that looks alot better now!
Maybe u can add some script so that each photo opens in a window, that has the same size as the photo and when U click on it it closes.

:)

Actually - that is the plan, though I haven't worked out how to do that yet!

Good clean layout, easy to navigate. Just get rid of the 'broken image' links where you don't have any shots yet, otherwise people will get confused.

Happy 30th by the way!

Yes - I might put a temporary page up to say something like under construction or whatever...

try setting your body background color to black so there are no white squares while waiting for the last parts of the page to load
it was mainly in the bottom left the first time it loads

looks good

Hmm... I think I have set the backgrounds to black...
Perhaps it is the way it is set out in frames. Perhaps it took a while to download the info for that frame?

according to the source of your basic page that calls your frames the tag doesn't have a background set.... so it shows as white as the frames download but only for the first time till they are in the cache, but first impression are the ones that count :)

Ah right - I didn't think about the Index page which calls the content to the frames...

Thanks a lot for that.
