I recently acquired an Epson Stylus Pro 4800 printer
Wondered:
If anybody here has had some experience using this machine and have tips on how avoiding major disaters in the process.
Has anybody printed some images with Generations Quad-N-Color Cartridges from Mediastreet?
Or used their cotton based archival papers?
PS: for those interested, I have uploaded about 40 recent photographs in my portfolio. |

I use an older Epson wide format printer. It doesn't have the newer inks, so I can't comment to those. But it's a hell of a printer. The Epson papers are fantastic as far as I'm concerned. There's a noticeable difference in perceived sharpness between the matte and the premium luster papers, and another, smaller jump with the glossy. So much so that I change sharpness when I am printing to matte, dial in more sharpness. Be sure to use Epson's embedded printer profiles, assign the profile to the image in PS and adjust print saturation and brightness from there. It makes a big difference.
Nice shots in your portfolio!
