Do you guys know any resizing software that'll easily allow me to resize a group of photo?

Photoshop is really a pain, I just need an easy way to resize a group of pics.

Please help?

You can do an action and use Automate/Batch function in photoshop. I don't see how any other software can do it better.

ACDSee is much faster and better. Picasa can do it too I think.

Here a tutorial on how to use actions to do it.

The only resizing program I know of is Genuine fractals, but this is used for upsampling mostly I think.

Also, Corel Paint Shop Pro ahs some good batching functionality native last time I checked.

Microsoft released a PowerToy which allows you to do this just with a right click.

Check it out here

The download link is about 2/3 down the page on the right-side. It's called Image Resizer. Very handy for the quick stuff.

I use photoshop's batch processing to do this. It allows you to resize and even run an action on all the images as well. I run it from the Bridge in CS2 but I'm sure there's a way to do it from inside photoshop directly.

Batch it can do it, and (I think) Watermark Factory can also do it.

I reccommend this to my customers Resize Your Picture 4.2 It is great for doing large numbers of photos and it does a reasonable job.

I couldn't manage to install the Windows powertoy. I'm dim like that.

My CS2 is incredibly slow, you won't believe it so I refuse to do any actions there.

Couldn't find it in the Batch edit of Picasa.

Resize Your Picture is 15 dollars. Without a credit card it'll be hard to pay for that.

Batch it... I have no idea which version to download.

I would just stick to your photo editing programs.
There just isn't a quick general way to downsize a photo.
Different photos need different post-resizing USM parameters and such.

It's slower, but the results are worth it.

That's really not what I was asking. You surely don't need a good quality results when you're resizing your friend's snapshots or putting your own pictures in a CD.

And thank you very much aguapreta. PixResizer works wonders for now.

Do you have Windows XP on your machine? if yes, once you click on the install all you have to do is right click on the picture u want to resize, it will display a menu like

click on that... It doesnt really install a software with icons on desktop or anything

PS CS2 Actions work the fastest on my machine, and trust me, I have tried quite a few different software. PixResizer is the best freeware I'd say.
