I just noticed that I had my first downloads on a couple of the stock sites I put a preliminary set of images on...so exciting! I also finally finished editing a batch of 100 or so images that will be my next to go up. Hopefully I got them done well enough, although with the monitor I've got figuring out how much noise there is is a bit tricky. My next step is going to be inputing all of the IPTC data with ACDSee, to make the uploading go a little quicker.

For the IPTC reading, I've found that iStockPhoto, Dreamstime, BigStockPhoto, 123RoyaltyFree, and ImageVortex can all do this, but I'm unable to figure out is that if there is any way to get CanStockPhoto or StockXpert to do automatic IPTC reading. I've heard that it can depend on what program you're using to input the data, but I couldn't find anything about it at all on the sites which makes me think they just don't have that implemented. If anybody out there whos got a little more experience knows anything, could you let me know? I'm really more interested in Canstock that SX, since I hear SX is a little slow, but either way!

Yes they can! Canstockphoto.com if you go under bulk uploads you can get the files uploaded with the data

and under SX you have the select a little box when you upload or just use the FTP

Well, I got SX to work, I'm glad I was paying attention ;) but I still can't get Canstock and I've edited about every field I can think of. What program do you use to edit the data? I'm off to bed now, but if its not ACDSee I'll give it a try tomorrow and see if its just the problem with the specific program.

Thanks!

I'm looking to buy the CS some time next year. How much did you pay for it?
