Been messing around with really high ISO settings on my camera...My grandpa gave me this really old photography book and I decided to try some old old looking shots.

I just shot people for now...but I want to do some landscapes sometime. I think it's a blast, looking all old school and like.

Anywho...let me know what you think.

Hey caleb,
I really like the feeling of the shots as a thumbnail. Nice composition....dramatic lighting. But that noise from the high iso is just way too much. I think it would improve them a bunch if you used photoshop to add the old time effect, rather than do it in the camera. It just doesn't have the same feel as an old photo doing it this way. Thats just my 2 cents. I like where you were going.

Thanks...the grain is a combination of using a high iso and using the image grain filter...and then dodging and burning to bring it out a little more.

Thanks for the input...I ust wanted to experiment around a little bit.

Old photos of living subjects were never quite that sharp either. Remember they had LONG exposure times and you can never get a subject to remain perfectly still. Grain wasn't that pronounced, because the film was huge.

Good study though.

yeah...I think I did make them a little too sharp, but hey..It's kind hard not to.

Thanks for all the comments, I appreciate it
