I was up late last night again, just could not sleep. I started looking at some recently uploaded photographs and that’s when I began to understand why I love this site so much. See I don’t have the means to travel this country or world like some but all of you have taken me places with your photographs that I would have never been able to travel. MandyTurners Las Vegas pictures brought back memories of when my wife and I visited LV in 1999. Bear_music has let me see the beauty of Massachusetts, Zoomdak has let me see the rock off Oregon’s cost (many times: P), BradP, Kylie and many others have given me a view of the pacific cost. ToolCool took me to a blues festival and let me see the eyes and emotions of a performer. Lentil has shown me parts of Australia and heida has taken me to Iceland. I could go on-and-on but the fact is each and every one of you, here at DPChallenge, have taken places, to events, and showed me who you are through your photographs.

To me this is what photography is all about. I love the challenges and yes I would like to score high. I would love to have the talent and creativity that graphicfunk possesses. And have the ability to critique like so many good commenters here.

I thank every one of you for taking me places and showing me a good time through your photographs. I hope everyone understands that you don’t have to take a perfect picture to have someone to enjoy your work. I don’t want to leave anyone out. Even though some names are mentioned here it is my intent to thank everyone.

Just some thoughts after being here over a year.

Thanks for posting. Your sentiment is warm and welcome and now that you mention it, I realize that I really value DPC in much the same way as well.

I feel the same way, actually. I just love how BROAD this site is. To quote Vonnegut, "So many different people in the same device!"

Dude, you have no idea how much you have just rejuvinated me. You called me out without any idea that you would do so. Just knowing that one shot over the last three years has touched someone this much is worth way more than many could imagine. I'm sitting here choking back tears because you get it...
Yours forever

That's how
I view this sight. It takes me places on earth and in spirit where I can't imagine going myself. Thanks to all.
