A minor primer on Astrology:
The Sun Sign is related more to the character of the individual. The inner self.
The rising Sign, determined with the time of birth and location, is your basic personality or the way you view the external and react to it. Say a Sun in Pisces is very reserved. Give this a leo Rising and there is a direct conflict in the personality. That is the Leo aspect tends to dominate your behavior but deep inside you keep surprising yourself because you are not able to follow through on all that leo promises and Leo is generous.
Once your chart is cast the horoscope is divided into 12 houses which rule the affairs of your life. The planets will fall in some of these houses and their properties will accent these houses.
Mercury rules the mental and communications. Venus rules over the tender affections including love. Mars rules over the coarser feelings including temper, rage, anger but when its energies are positively employed it becomes the doer. It gets it done and it can complete the task. It is power both physical and mental.
Jupiter is called the planet of plenty. It makes itself felt in whatever house it resides. It also subverts into exagerations and the big tales.
Saturn is the time keeper. Cold and ruthless and brings the sum of your action in any cycle into account. On the positive side it will show you your weakness and what they do to sink you.
Neptune is the planet of deception. This includes self deception as well as external deception. On the positive side it opens your third eye into the inner realm. Too deep and you must be able to sort things out otherwise you will be happily misinformed.
Uranus, pronounced both ways: youranus or you ranos that is whith the a as ah or a. This is the planet of sudden change and can change your life around at once. It requires a lot of meditation to receive its benefits.
Pluto is the terminator. It brings big cycles to an end without concern for the outcome. That is, like Saturn, it rules over your wise or unwise action but Pluto can throw you into a state of shock because it pulls the carpet from under your feet.
The houses.
The first house is you and your personality. Also refered to as the ascendant. It is the sign rising on the horizon.
the second house rules over money and posessions.
the third over commutication and short trips.
the fourth rules over the house and earlier childhood.
the fifth rules over the element of chance, gambling and offsprings.
The sixth is the house associated with work and health.
the seventh regards external relationships, partnerships etc.
the Eight rules over sex, all things related to the dead including wills.
The ninth higher education, philosophy and religious and spiritual beliefs.
the eleventh rules over friends and your aspirations.
the twelth is the house of seclussion. All of your deepest secrets and the place where you grieve over your shortcomings.
If you read only your Sun Sign then much may not fit you. The Moon placement is very important and so is the ascendant. Then you need to see the interplay of the planets amongs each other and then the planets in the houses.

that website that roxanne listed...you could have them done...but there were several different types.....so you might need to find someone that understands whatever particular chart you choose. (did that make sense? lol) They looked kind of spendy...$40 or so.

On that website there are free horoscopes. Some of them make your chart. The partner report and the astroclick partner will tell you about your planets. I think it's enough for someone to give you an analysis. |
