I just bought my first Alien Bees B800 unit, it came with the Silver Field Reflector and I don't know what it does and when to use it. I also purhased a 48" gold/silver umbrella. Do I still use the Silver Field Reflector with the umbrella on?

it helps to keep the light directed onto your subject and should always be used. (you can purchase other reflectors from alien bee to use on the light) You should see a hole in it to line up with the umbrella holder.
