You FF people are like Mac users.

You need to use the "Upload a New Image to 'Portfolio'" and not the "Upload a New Print to 'Portfolio'" box.

That's your problem. 1.48MB takes a long time to upload over dialup. You're not locked up, it's just taking that long.

If you're uploading for display only, I recommend resizing before you upload, as you would for a challenge. To conserve space I generally size non-challenge portfolio items to 100K or smaller.

i tell you what, i know why the 'tech. support' people are generally an angry bunch and that their first question is always "is it plugged in".
sometimes, i need directions on how to put on a shirt.

sorry Club...i read that part wrong. (hehe)it's gotta be the blonde.
11/16/2005 11:37:36 PM · #84
well, i uploaded it that big because it's a really old photo of my uncle in a navy airplane and someone wanted to spruce it up for me.
11/16/2005 11:39:20 PM · #85
wow mav... he read this entire thread and commented on that one little line - sounds like you're right (mac users-sheesh!)
:-)

*directs Terry to the Nog's got a spouse thread*

Does tech support show up with a 6 pack and a "just go in the backroom Joe" card?
11/16/2005 11:42:38 PM · #88
i bet they're backwards directions!
11/16/2005 11:44:00 PM · #89
there's a thread that says that about me?
you sure it's not a security rumor that i started?
11/16/2005 11:44:21 PM · #90
Well isn't "putting on a shirt" sort of like calling tech support and saying "I'd like to give myself spyware and maybe a virus"?

(Bringing virii into this conversation is tricky, I know)
11/16/2005 11:46:04 PM · #91
virii - neat word! is that like 'funner' or is it a real word?

It's "sort of" made up...it's not a real dictionary word. The plural of virus is viruses of course, but virii makes more sense (radius, radii)
11/16/2005 11:49:33 PM · #94
lol
is there a stalker rule on here? (j/k)
coulda said 'my dad' but that makes me seem a little juveniile... so, why not keep that li'l useless bit of information out of the conv. and security level stays put. see that? 2 birds, one stone!
11/16/2005 11:50:35 PM · #95
