| I read that it took like 5 hours. By the time I got home with the camera it was late, so I just put it in the charger overnight. Have fun with it!! |

The BlM-01 battery for the e-300 or e-500 takes about a hour & a half to two hours at the most (which I think is slow, but helps in long term life of the battery). |

Dell Drama...
Placed order for E-500 kit 10-25-05 with an estimated ship date of 10-27-05.
Checked order on 11-1-05. Not shipped, now estimated ship date of 11-9-05.
11-9-05 e-mailed that item not in stock ESD of 11-16-05.
Checked order this morning now says estimated ship of 11-9-05, ??? so I called.
On the phone this morning w/ dell "I promise it will go out today".
Phone call from dell this evening during dinner, "Dear Valued Customer,
Due to unforeseen circumstances, we have experienced another delay with your order. Our new anticipated ship date will be on or before 11-23-2005. Due to this additional delay, the Federal Trade Commission requires we receive your consent to continue with this order."
No Thanks!
Adorama $649.95 (no lens but I have it already anyway) will be here Friday. |

I just got mine an hour ago!
Sorry you are having so many problems hperfocal. I'm glad I went through Best Buy because I ordered in NC when we were there last friday and here it is today already. Batteries in the charger! |

Bummer about Dell, but glad you've changed resellers and it will be here for you so soon. What was the price difference between Dell and Adorama? Are you going to sell your E-300? |

Dell had the E-500 kit with the 14-45 after discount codes for $639.95. Adorama has the E-500 body only for $649.95. I realize that the Dell price is much better than Adoroma, but I hate do business with a company that has provided me such poor customer service. Plus the 14-45 is only going for about $50 on eBay (thanks to such market saturation), which is where I would have put the lens since I already own one.
I'm keeping the E-300, it will be my primary camera, with the E-500 as a backup. I love the E-300, and if the price gets low enough I might get another. Also until Exensis upgrades its RAW support to include the E-500 I'm stuck shooting tiffs and/or jpgs (or change my established workflow). |
