I remember reading in one of the books i got the reason for the blue "channel" always being more grainy and generaly the worst channel in ps cs2 and the green channel always being the best i think it said something abou tthe ccd has more green photosites? is that what it was?

I thought I read something on Luminous Landscape but couldn't find the article in a brief search. Hopefully someone will pipe in with an answer to your question.
