have a glass of wine or two, helps the creative process.

This is something that really interests me; however, I have a feeling there will be a lot of nature pics...especially bugs or lizards that change with their environment. Also female bird species...

I never had the opportunity to shoot something like that this past summer, and well now, it's out of season for that.

I can't come up with any homemade ideas that would be good. *sigh*

don't bank on a higher score with fewer entries. i thrashed that theory a while ago.

So far I have been true to my theory, that entering the less "appealing" challenge is getting me better scores by pushing me to think beyond pretty pictures of waterfalls and fall foliage.

I entered Camo. And no, its not a picture of me in the blue jeep with the blue camo hat either, lol. :)(is that photo even IN my portfolio?? I may have jinxed myself here and will have to show that now, its imfamous in-real-life-land. lol)

I'm betting a solid .5 difference between the top single light source and the top Camoflage entry. I'm hoping for a solid six on this one, seeing as how there are so few entries. Though, theres still six hours to go or so..

Don't they want artificial light, that probably will exclude sunlight. If that is not the case u got my 7 for composition.

Let me know what you think...I bet it would of scored high 5's low 6's, maybe.

He might get camoflauged scores too.

Yeah wouldn't that be hilarious. Submit a photo of leaves and nothing else. See if people can see where the camouflage is ;)

For once I actually managed to come up with several good ideas for this challenge. Too bad they all require at least one assistant, which I don't have. I think I'm going to find me a new hobby.

I hate to tell you this, but that is a great photo for single light source. I didn't enter that contest. I entered camoflauge instead. I like my pic and my title, and it will again be a matter of preference. If it were me, I would score it very high for at least three reasons :=) But I just hope others can see what those three are. I know what they are, but others may not. That is all I will say on that..LOL

I think I have to wait for a better camera before I can do the light sources type photos with any kind of a decent score to look forward to. :)

Challenge Details: Use a single, artificial light source to dramatically light the subject of your choice."

Some people might not see that shot as an artificial light source.

OH shoot! That's right, it has to be artificial! So no, that wouldn't work, but I do love the photo.

There have been numerous posts overlooking the 'artificial' element of the single light source challenge. I think there's going to be some fun once voting starts ;-)

God please let it be over a 5 this time!

I had fun with this one. Vote 10 on the polar bear sitting in the snow eating vanilla ice cream from a white bowl.
