I am seriously asking your help here.

After doing some shoots and looking back at the postprocessed pics I started to dislike my own Postprocessing.
Some of these photo's just look unnatural.
So I am trying out new techniques and would like your opinion on it.

This is not a request for comments, I am simply asking advice and the question is simple, does the new postprocessed photo look better then the old one?
Old:

New:

And is there anything YOU would change?

I am just asking your opinion.... Please... Pretty please ;)

IMO...I like the old, I wouldn't change a thing! They both are great shots!

A few comments:

1. remove speck under right eye
2. clone out the rogue hair that crosses her left eye (and some on her forehead... it catches the light and is a bit distracting)
3. the lighting on her right side seems more harsh that the before pic
4. clone out the blue on the upper left so it's just all green

just my two cents ;)

edit:
5. now that i look at it even more, i prefer the crop of the old one

edit part deux:
6. the overall feel of her face (lighting wise) is definitely an improvement over the last one.
7. i'm glad you dodged her teeth ever so slightly... she has a beautiful smile that just radiates across my screen ;)

Off to check her other shots in your portfolio. I might be back again later, who knows :)

Hmmmm, very hard to say. They are both different and I have things that I like about both of them. The second is very much a more natural look. If that's what you're going for, you've definitely achieved this. Things I like about the first one are her eyes, to be more exact the iris. They are much sharper and brighter in the first, also the glow of her skin is very nice. I think I prefer the second one more... I think... being that it's brighter all around. I like that you removed the harsh shadowing from her face. To sum up, I like them both leaning towards the more natural processing, but still digging the darker image. I'm probably not much help to you. :-)

I like the second, more natural one better. In the first one her lips look blue and her teeth are not as nice, the shadows on her face are harsher and have a blue tinge to them also. The eyes stand out more in the first one though and I do like the crop, but think overall the re-edited version is more pleasing

The new is by far better. Looks crisper. just a poor noobs opinion though.

I like the crop of the first one, but the post processing of the second one :-)

Well, the first one is more 'artistically' pleasing...but the second seems more like what she would expect to get as the customer.

I like the first one better too, however, If it were me, I would soften
the shadow under her right eye, its a bit harsh and distracting

I like the intimacy of the first cropping, but of course that also brings you closer to the minor 'defects' than rikki noted. A little touch up work and you've got it.
