Looking through the Song Title entries I found two photos that are EXACTLY the same. Just wondering if this was an error or if a family posted the same photo (which may be allowed under current rules [?] but shouldn't).

It may be that when you click on the next page you see photos from the previous page that were at the bottom. I've noticed that some go to the top of the screen. That's when I am going through the thumbnails. Or someone submitted two of the same photos. I haven't seen yet, but I'm sure we aren't allowed to talk about specific photos anyway.

If you have any concerns about any particular photos in the current challenges, please just make a DQ request and let the site council investigate the matter further. However, as jimmyn4 said, the thumbnails from one page will sometimes repeat on the first line of the next page, so check that first :o)

Nope, they showed on the same page. I also looked at their properties and they have unique numbers in the file name, so it seems like two separate submissions.

I noticed that too. Thought it may have been a 'family' submission.

I usually assume that similar entries are simply the result of two friends or family members taking pictures together but in this case it does seem that the titles and photos are _identical_.

I have put in a DQ request solely in order to have the council check the images out (I have put the DQ on both images and referred in each one to the image ID of the other).

That aside I will vote on them as normal.

Since the matter has now been referred to site council (and may have been referred before) I think it's probably fairest to stop discussion and allow site council time to respond?

Just my opinion...

Could be the same person using different aliases. Probably screwed up and posted the same image instead of two different ones. I have seen this happen on other sites like this. It is always against the rules but (in some instances) very hard to detect.

Slightly on-topic...

I think people explained your problem (it surprised me once or twice as well) - slight repition and random sorting when you don't always expect it.

Slightly off-topic...

Did someone count how many "Candle in the wind" entries there were. They could have formed a mini challenge of their own.

Actually such a mini challenge with a very tight subject could be very interesting. Giving the members only few options on the subject would tell a lot about the creativity of the people.
A song title would be OK or a challenge like: "Take a mirror, glass of milk, your thumb and a strawberry and make a picture".
Would be challenging to come up with something good!
Of course this type of challenge should be done rarely, because viewing to the results might get boring.

This would make a great members challenge at the moment because there would be far fewer 'almost the same' images to wade through.

I'm up for it!
