Does it do that automatically or does SC have to do it?

Everytime someone responds it goes to the top of the "Recent Forum Activity". Bumping pushes it to the top, so it gets more attention.

k, one more dum question, then i'll quit it... when submitting to a challenge and it says your picture can't be larger than such'n'such size, and my picture ISN'T larger than that - why does it tell me my pic's too big?
It always ends up so small that it loses al lot of its detail.

What post-processing software are you using? How are resizing it down when you submit?

It could also be that it is above 150kb. Check the pic's properties and its file size, not only its dimensions.

Faidoi you certainly are of benefit to this site. I remeber when you answered my dumb questions. You did it with such patience and in such a clear and simple way. I have seen you do this numerous times in fact over and over again with the same questions. I just want you to know that you do a great job Kudos to you.

PPSoftware i'm using is a combination between PhotoImpression and Paint. I know, it's laughable... but I can't even FIND a copy of PS, not to mention afford one.
I hafta make due. :-)
sokay though, it makes me work harder - i'm good with that.

That's likely it. Also note that sometimes when you save as .jpg on Photoshop it will say it's 143kb (for example) and DPC says it's >150. I don't know why it does that, but it happens at times.

Remember that GIMP is a free program that is pretty powerful and it's free. I've even seen books on the program.
