I have finally taken my first waterfall images, and wanted to find out if they are any good. I have a question regarding the way that nobody ever shows waterfalls with detail. They are all done with a soft look. I took two at different shutter speeds and both seem to have aesthetic appeal, but when it comes to challenges I was wondering if either one would score higher than 20%.

I prefer the composition of the first, but the smoother (less busy) appearance of the water in the second.

I prefer the second one - the composition and the look of the water.

Same here.

Did you use a polarizer or neutral density filter? These are useful in limiting available light, hence allowing longer shutter time to produce a soft "angel hair" look to the water.

I prefer the second image, and I think a longer shutter would have made it even nicer, (not always possible depending on the light).
here's two I took that I considered for the shutter speed challenge, but I ended up going for a different style shot.
