Battery grip for Canon EOS Digital Rebel?
do they make one?

also what accessories are a must have?

I think that the BG-E1 battery grip for the 300D is now discontinued, but you could probably find one on eBay. I had one on mine after reading so many posts where users expressed their utter joy at having one fitted, but didn't really get quite so enthusiastic myself.

As for other accessories, firstly, install the hacked firmware to get some additional functionality (my favourite was the ability to change the embedded JPEG in a RAW file to small/coarse, so that the file size was smaller).

A couple of fairly large CF cards helps, as does a spare battery. There'll be more recommendations to come, I'm sure.

the battery grip, for sure... I couldn't live without mine... and some sort of remote is a must... I used the RC-1...
