It's almost 8am for God sake! I should have my teleconverter by now. I don't know how much longer I can hang on if my B&H order doesn't get here soon. I NEEEED my order. 2x teleconverter, set of extension tubes and extra batteries must arrive soon.
This is the stuff that I ordered to tide me over until the D200 I pre-ordered gets here...and the brown truck... it just won't hurry.
The weather is beautiful right now and I can't leave. Ahhhh!!

| Don't you have a tracking number? I know I was as addicted to playing with the tracking button as I am the DPC "update" button :) |

This is agonizing. My order sat at the UPS depot that is 6 miles from my house all weekend. This morning @ 6am it went "out for delivery".

Working for a company that does mail order, parcels can arrive with cliental anytime between 8am and 6pm sorry to put the dampeners on things but you might have to wait until the bitter end, depends where you are on their route you could be at late on so don't stray too far.
Hope it arrives soon.

When I ordered my 70-200 it arrived at about 11:30, so I guess that is their route time.. It annoys me though that my wifes Longaberger crap always shows up first thing in the morning.

| UPS gives priority to business deliveries--home deliveries are often scheduled at the end of the run. When I know a package is on a truck that I won't be home to meet (and know that they need a signature for release), I've called the depot and ask them to pull it off the truck for my pick up the following morning at the depot. Risky to do this as they sometimes get it all screwed up--but necessary on occasion. (Otherwise I just take out my nervous energy while waiting by cleaning something....) |

You may be able to call the UPS station and find out his route. Trail it until you see the truck and flag him over...just make sure you have your driver's license. Can't tell I"ve done this can you? :)

The UPS truck just arrived!
He dropped off a box with a 2x teleconverter, set of extension tubes and extra batteries.
It must be christmas, as this is not my address on the box! LOL
MY UPS guy arrives about 11:30, and NEVER knocks or asks for a signature. I have found boxes at the front door, back door, basement side door and one time in my car! (unlocked out here in the country and it was a rainy day)

Have you cleaned out your camera bag? Wiped those lenses and filters? Recharged your batteries? Wiped your memory cards? Cleaning helps! (Besides you'll be ready to hit the door running when the toys arrive.) |

| okay here is how delivery services work, they put everything for the day in the truck. First they do the urgent business stuff (ie the next day stuff) then they do the next day everyone else stuff, then they fo the rest of the businesses, then they do the 2 day regular stuff then low low low on the totem pole comes your B&H package. It will probably be there around 3. |

Bag, camera, and filters cleaned. Batteries charged. # loads of laundry done. Uniform for tomorrow ironed... Still no UPS.
This is my first DPC entry from almost 2 years ago. The order I am waiting for is my reward to myself for finally quitting 1 month ago after 14 years of dippin'. However, the wait is not easier during nicotine withdrawl.

Next assignment: Set up the tripod to face the door. Pre-focus lens and set camera to 10 second delay and burst mode. Make sure the remote is attached for quick access. When the UPS driver finally arrives, trigger the camera, open the door, and throw your arms around him/her and hold on until your exposures are made...should make for an excellent triptych entry! (You may want to spend some of your free time praticing the shot while you wait.) =o
