We want to get this blown up as an 8x10 for the grandparents for Christmas. Problem is, me having an untrained eye I'm not sure what to do. Maybe I should just bag it and take the same shot when I get my new camera? Then again the chances of me getting that same look on my daughters face again are pretty slim lol.

and it's so blurry. I suppose there really is no hope for it lol.
Would it look okay if I softened it just a tad?
They love this pic of her but I think it's too blurry.
Ya'll are making me critical here lol. I'm turning into a perfectionist! |

It definitely looks salvageable. Lots of things you could do to make this a great portrait. Use the original (large) image though. |

Should I sharpen it more?
They aren't going to care either way lol. SHe could be sitting there picking her nose and they'd think she was cute.
I'm thinking of getting a print for us too though. I guess I'll go mess around some more in psp and see what I come up with. WIll post another later.
Thanks K. |

Working quickly with the small image file your link points to, I think it's quite salvageable. Sharpening takes care of the blurries. A bit of color correction helps too--lots of yellow in your image... Also, this is the correct ratio for the 8x10 print--use 1:1.25 for your crop factor--lots of room to play.
Hope that helps! |

I would, but it doesn't need much.

I like what KaDi did - I would've cropped it like that as well regardless of the ratio. |
