Didn't some idiot that won 100 million in Oregon buy the ticket with a stolen credit card?

This is the CA Super Lotto. Choose 6 numbers including the Mega number. My numbers? 13,5,46,6

The winning numbers? 5, 13, 34, 40, 46, 6 (mega number).

for me, i would probably pay out my parents mortgage and finally have my mom retire (she still has two more years). buy my sisters homes and set aside some money for my future (gulp) wedding.

i would still probably continue to work and most likely sell and move from my condo to a real house.

What about the couple in Jacksonville Oregon that won the $340 million dollar powerball in October. They finally came forward and I believe they got $100+ million after taxes. Now that could buy some more camera equipment.

Dang Rikki!! Close close close!

I'd

1) set up a scholarship for geology students, giving x a free ride to college.

2) fund a something or another to help people with cancer.

3) make sure my family didn't have to work.

4) help starving artists.

I'm fairly sure that winning the lottery ruins more lives than it saves.

Perhaps we're lucky to not be winner. Of course the lottery is just a tax on people who are bad at math...

Ya, I don't think I would like to be a big winner. Just too many people who would make demands etc....

Yeah, read a story about that $350m winner in Virginia whose whole family fell apart, and he'd lost all of his friends within a year after he got the money.

Not a whole lot of fun when you have no friends or family to share all that "good fortune" with is it?

But think about all the new friends you can buy! Just kidding.

I totally wanted to win that $340 million that the Oregon couple won. Darn, just one state away. I'll probably never win the lotto since we've already had a $16-, $87-, and $240-million winner here in Boise, Idaho. Ugh.

What would I do if I won some enormous amount of money?

1. Buy my mom a brand new home with a huge acre lot so that she can plant all the plants she wants.
2. Set up a fund for my relatives in the Philippines--build every family a decent home w/ indoor plumbing and buy each family a jeepney so that they can earn a living...make sure all my cousins get a chance to at least go & finish high school...and hopefully go to college.
3. Take my co-workers on a 2 week vacation to Tahiti and give them $100 grand each (actually, I'd probably give more to some but since there are about 20 of them...)
4. Make sure I have a trust fund for my nephews and nieces so they don't make their "choice of university" based on whether or not they can afford to go.
5. Set up a scholarship at my high school...with special preference for those who want to become English teachers...in honor of my English teachers who were AMAZING.
6. And for me, pay off my student loans, buy a place by the Oregon coast where I can have a bookstore/ice cream shop. Maybe go back to school for a couple more degrees. Photography maybe? hee hee

If I won millions I would first send a SASE to my boss with my letter of resignation effective immediately and a request for her to send me my personal things. Then, I would buy every Canon IS L lens made along with flashes and other gadgets. I would buy myself a house, my mother a bright yellow VW bug, and my father a new barn and fill it with animals of his choice. I would get my sister on her feet and get her a house. I would pay off my brother's mortgage so he doesn't have to work 12 hour days. Then we would travel whenever, wherever, and how ever long we wanted. That's it. I'm too greedy to share with anyone else.
