I'm going out in the next 30 min. or so to buy a new monitor. would like to stay in the under $300 price range. suggestions please.

My friend worships his Samsung 710N, but I'm not a big fan of LCD monitors (even the more expensive models).
I'd get a decent 21" CRT if I were you. |

It's bright. :)
Not sure about the quality though - mine's TOO bright.
