Whenever I try to get my profile pic 120 x 90, it is always something differnt, like 120 x 97 or something and it never works. How do other people do it withough PS?

One method:
1-Select crop tool
2-For width enter 120 (pixels will be assumed) and 90 for height
3-Drag crop tool over area to be selected
4-Hit enter

All image editors have a crop tool so the instructions given below can be applied on the most part.
What software are you using?

I don't really have any software. My XT came with ZoomBrowser EX, but that doesn't really do anything. |

I thought the Rebel also came with PS Elements. Maybe not all models or in all locations.
In MS Paint I believe you can crop using Image/Attributes.

You should download the latest version of IrfanView. It's fairly easy to learn. Not as many features as Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro but it has a crop tool, and a lot of other useful stuff. Best of all, it's free for home use.
Another free photo-editing program is PhotoFiltre.
