My Mum ( and Dad)currently lives in the states and I"m in New Zealand :(. Anyway it is my Mum's birthday on Nov 17th and she has requested some photos for her birthday. She actually requested photos of our whole family but there's no way I'm having a photo taken of me!!! But I am very happy to take photos of my girls to enlarge and send to her.
It was really hard to choose which photos and I have finally settled two for my oldest daughter Joyah.
I would like to know what improvements and suggestions of effects ie B & W for this photo
and same for this photo in particular how to fix up white smudge to bottom left and glary spot on the top left .
Next I need to narrow these 3 photos of youngest, Nimue to 2 . Which 2 do you like best? What suggesstions and improvements? |

Lovely shots!! I can imagine a delighted grandma when she receives them!!
On my monitor that re-edited photo of Joyah is a bit blue toned.
Can't go wrong with any of those shots of Nimue, great little model! I like the eye contact of 1 & 3, but there's something about the middle shot that is really special! I know.......... send them all!!

Hey Sue thanks for your feedback. Will keep working on it. As for sending three of Nimue ,Joyah would never let me get away with that I'd have to send three of her and then when would it end!!! |

What editing program are you using?
If ps, try Adjustment->Colour Balance....highlights and move the top slider to the Cyan side, play with it till it feels right

Personally, I like the colour in the first shot the best I think. 2nd edit shot the light looks a little flat, 3nd pic almost looks maybe like you're losing the middle tones. Could try that shot again......go to Adjustment->Selective colour->Neutral and moving the bottom black slider up a bit.
LOL....this is fun!!! :))
edited to say.....where's bear, 'n brad, 'n ken and all the other ps whizz's when ya need em!

Of all the ones I saw on the page - I think I like these the best...

...but I'm no Grandma. Not yet anyway. :)
Good luck - she'll love any image of her grandaughters that she can recognize the faces in. :) |
