About a month or so ago I served as a photographer for the Australian University Games.
Considering that at the time, I'd had exactly no experience shooting sports, it was something of an experience. The whole having to sort and process 500 shots of four different sports in 30 minutes to meet a deadline thing got a bit tiresome after the first day or so, but all in all I had a blast.
Sports photography wasn't really my thing before I did it, and it's not really my thing now... but still, it was something I'm glad I had a crack at.
I finally got around to uploading some of the shots I took.
They aren't spectacular to be sure, but I think they aren't bad for a first effort - comments or tips are, as always, much appreciated.

Very nice stuff! Amazing how my eyes were able to immediately discard everything so they could focus entirely on bikini-clad babes :) |

hehehe... I still can't believe I spent half a day walking around a beach volleyball court with a 300 mm zoom lens and no-one even looked at me strangely :).

There's a lot of great stuff going on in these. Exquisitely captured moments, in my opinion. |
