Cool.
Think I will go all-out on this one and point & click at somethin.

Or better yet, take a pitchure of a nekkid gurl, grunge & burn the heck out of it - how could I lose?

Happy to see this, but I wish they would:

1) Do these quarterly
2) Include the whole quarter time-frame for the submission period

Sort of the way they did "best of" last year. Why not best of quarterly?

Hopefully, having this so close to the end of the year won't preclude a best of 2005. I may have to wait for that if I don't get out much to shoot in November.

OK so where is the thread debating EXACTLY what is meant by this challenge!

Have I got to be free to participate?
What happens if I am tied up at the time I take the photo?
Am I allowed to take a picture of my dog when she is tied up?
Can I pay a model or must I ( or is that CAN I) not pay for a model?
I paid for my camera - does that dq me ?

OH dear so much to think of!!!!

My first Free Study since I joined (and paid). I'm excited to see what results it produces for everyone including myself. Didn't realize it was a month at first... I guess I should read more carefully next time. :)

All of the above appear to be grounds for the dreaded:

Does not meet the Challenge!

Unless your title is also simly 'FREE STUDY', nothing more and nothing less, whatever you shoot will not meet the challenge ;-)

I just paid too, decided that I've wanted to for a long time and even though my images have not faired so well yet maybe I can do better.

So excuse my stupid question...free study means anything goes? What about the editing rules? I would imagine the advanced rules still apply but you can just shoot any subject? Thank you and good luck to you all.

1. It's a member challenge with advanced editing rules.
2. You have to be free (living in the grand USA) and study (i.e. you must be a student).
=)
(BTW, I'm a student of life.)

If I take the picture in my study and I then give it away, will that be acceptable?
Oh no, I am not American and certainly not very advanced!

No worry - I can just spend the next 30 days changing my mind and resubmitting every day as I take more pics - and it will still bomb!

If I take a photo of me in a library using free books and I am studying for a test. Will that be ok? OH, will they know if I had to buy my library card? Then it is not so free.

I am member, but I am usually below 20% placement in all the challenges. I don't know if it is because I am really bad at taking pictures or if it is because I am bad at choosing for challenges. Should I enter
