I bought my 20D at a local Ritz Camera. I also purchased their extended warranty that supposedly covers virtually any kind of damage. Part of the warranty "package" was a free, yearly sensor/mirror cleaning. I called them up today because I wanted to know how long it would take for the cleaning. The guy that answered the phone said 6-8 weeks!!!! I couldn't believe it. If it was 6-8 DAYS, I would have still felt that was a long time. I asked him if any other local stores can do it faster and he said "probably not."

Any ways, how hard is it to clean a sensor/mirror? Why would it take so long? He also said that any camera repairs would take 6-8 weeks also. That's WAY too long to be without my camera.
