I have been asked to photograph my friend's wedding in a few months. AS of now the only flash I have on my camera is the built-in flash. I have Canon 10D.

The wedding will be held in the evening, and inside. The reception will be candle lit. I need to know what flash I need to get to accomodate this setting and see if I need any additional lighting. Also if you have suggestions for lenses/camera settings for evening photography, please share them with me.

All comments are grately appreciated.

I suggest either the 550EX of the Sigma SuperDG. You should also get a diffuser. I suggest Gary Fong's Lightsphere II. Whatever you get, the biggest thing is to practice with it well before the ceremony.

I also recommend you google "dragging the shutter"

You should check the rules about flash during the ceremony. Many facilities and officiants do NOT allow it. If that is the case, you will need relatively fast lenses to get any kind of decent shutter speed.

Good Luck
