I agree, I control things like this by changing the res. on the image or making it "dirty" or "grainy" and then offer high res. prints. I haven't had a single complaint yet.

Yeah, I agree with the low-res option. If you set the size and quality right all that the person will be able to get is a nice shot on screen but a crappy print if they try to enlarge it. This is the same idea with print proofs, they are usually small enough that scanning and enlarging them isn't worth it, but you can tell which prints you want from them.

Also, I like the idea of adding into the cost a fee for the client to download the low-res images and offer the high-res for an additional fee.
