Is Kenko a good brand of lens for a teleconverter? They have a 3x tele on B&H for $80. I think that would be ideal. |

Kenko is a reputable brand, but a 3x teleconverter will have an impact on image quality for sure. You'll very likely see an increase in the apperance of chromatic abberation, and also reduced image contrast. You may also see your images become a little "softer", in other words you'll lose some resolution.

Normally the best teleconvertor are the ones may for the camera lens. Remember that teleconverters will cause vignetting on the wide end of the zoom. |
