OK, I thought I was pretty good with Photoshop, but this one is stumping me:

How do I copy the raw HEX code for the currently selected color to the clipboard? I'm already aware of the function in the "Color" window which allows you to "Copy HTML Color to Clipboard", however this copies the actual line you would need in a web page (color="12AB34"). I'd like to find a way to copy JUST the hex code (12AB34, for example) WITHOUT double-clicking the color picker, highlighting the hex code, hitting Copy, then hitting Cancel. In other words, I want a single-step (one click or shortcutkey) solution, as I do this a LOT. Any ideas? Is this something so elementary that I'm going to feel silly when I find out? Or is it something so specialized I'm going to have to write a Photoshop script?

Takers?

P.S. I'm using Mac OSX 10.4.2 and Photoshop CS2

Did you try coping it to a stickie?
