This afternoon the number of votes rec'd for my 'Light on White II' challenge entry surpassed the 'Grain' entry...yet, the 'Grain' challenge has been in the voting stage for two more days?

Just one of those things to ponder. That's all. ;^)

Or do people just not understand what film grain is? Seems as though peoples scores are lower as a whole, and there are some very good photos. We'll have to wait for the rollover to know for sure.

DPC voters never like grainy/noisy pictures. It would be interesting to compare the average for this challenge with other member challenges.

I've only gotten 12 votes since yesterday.

I usually don't like grain added without a pupose, just to get attention. Which it usually is.

I don't understand the shiny happy images that have grungy grain added to them? What were people thinking?

There's different levels of grainyness. It's not all about (no offense) Joey Lawrence style grain.

Hmmm...me thinks I didn't explain myself very well. ;^)

I was talking about the number of votes posted, not the scores. For example my 'Image Grain' entry currently has 150 votes, my 'Light on White II' entry has 175 votes.

Just thought it was interesting that there have been more votes cast on the challenge that has had less voting time available. 'Image Grain' went up 2 days before 'Light on White II'.

Yes. but only members can vote on grain, whereas all others can vote on light/white and delicate.

Also, I do think that many are either staying out, or reserving judgement for the weekend.

You're right. I forgot about non-member vw member voting... Thanks.

I'm actually happy with my veiws and votes and score in the grain challenge, I figured I would totally bomb again like I have in the past few challenges! No complaining from me!! :) Not the ribbon winner by far, but acceptable!
