First of, thanks to everyone that left me comments
i kind of figured no one would see where the reflection was...
it is a picture of a rooftop puddle...the white stuff...thats the floor and then the yellowish stuff is water. in that puddle, there is a reflection of scaffolding that is directly above it and, for the most part, out of the frame frame. except for that brownish red bar in the top right corner.
i donno if i could would of figured that out if it was someone elses picture...
but i kind of wish you guys woulda just taken my word for the reflection being there.

I think it is a very nice picture, but remember that people only tend to look at the challenge picture for a couple of seconds when voting and go back afterwards. The reflection just wasn't that obvious (at all ;-)) and that affected your score. |

This is a very good image. I vote on very entry, then try to look at them again and comment on them. Unfortunately, sometimes life gets in the way. Rest assured your picture is worth more than I scored it. Sorry.

I scored this one above average. I still like how it works. The reflection is very obvious. If one could not see a the reflection, then their powers of observation are in question. |

Got a 7 from me. Personally I think it's a LOVELY iumage, very painterly and evocative. I wouldn't say it's "about" reflections, and that probably hurt it, but there's certainly reflections IN it. One thing I've noticed is that in DPC people tend to want the image to be "about" the topic, not just incorporating it. So in this case, if the reflections don't dominate our perception of the image, it's a "bad" challenge entry. Sigh...
Robt.

it's allright, we all do it. we think our photo fits a challenge just fine and everyone else doesn't see it, such has been the story of my last three challenge entries. |
