that you find something that fits a challenge the day after??
Thought this might do okay for delicate challenge?

Yeah it wouldn't have been much better without the flash.

I have the opposite problem -- I've always taken a great shot for the challenge announced later that day.
For a while, I was convinced that D&L picked the challenge theme each week (only one back then) by scanning my hard drive while I was asleep, and basing the topic description on my best shot from the previous week. |

It wasn't gonna be entered!! It was a work photo of a job in progress and we keep a record of repairs. The quality is not important, taken with the fuji 6900z.
I just thought the hammer fitted the Delicate theme:)

Aha! But that's where the problem lies. You see most of the people just have it all wrong, you shouldn't be taking pictures just for them to meet the challenge! You should also be taking them as if you were going to put them in your own personal art portfolio. I mean don't make DPC your life, if you missed a challenge who cares! You still take the picture as if you were going to enter it in a challenge.
Maybe I'm just photography nuts.
