I'm new to the whole photography scene and am trying new things lately. This is a shot I took of my 4yo daughter this evening. Usually I just take whole face shots or full length shots of her but thought I'd try something different and closer.
Am I on the right track?

I can see that you are creative....I usually score photos higher that "creativly" meet the challenge.

I would experiment with "thinner" frames. I tend not to try to mess up my shots with frames! I take bad enough shots as it is!

Welcome.

Ty for the comments! I've become and addict lately lol. I'm learning a lot here. I never really had any interest in photography till I started snapping pics lately and a friend I had emailed some to told me I should do something with them. I'm signing up for a class next fall and will go from there.
I've seen some amazing pictures in here and a few other places. Not sure where I want to go, but I'm having a lot of fun in the process.

Kimberly,

I've moved this thread from Critique Club to Individual Photograph Discussion. Any requests for critiques should be posted to this folder.

The Critique Club is a group who spends time providing in-depth critiques to challenge entries. The Critique Club folder is provided for discussions of their activities.

I realize the folder names are confusing... one of these days we'll get a guideline list posted... in the meantime thanks for your understanding.

~Terry
