OK I know most of you had guessed, but I am truly an idiot!

I spent several hours and nearly 3 hundred shots perfecting my light on white entry, and kept checking the results on the PC before returning to retake the shot. I think I did this round trip about 5 times in all.

Anyway, when checking the test shots I just viewed the files on the CF Card, without copying them onto hard disk, and when I got the one I wanted I just naturally stepped into Photoshop as usual.

So the step in my usual workflow was missing, namely copying to my hard disk. You guessed it I wiped the originals this morning on my way out to shoot a different subject.

I lost the originals - ahhhhhhhhhhh I'm an IDIOT !!!!

Have you taken any more photos on that card yet? It's possible the photos are still there, and can be recovered using recovery software.

Yeah I formatted the CF this morning as usual and then I've been out all day shooting - I'll try the RecoveryPro just to see if theres anything there.

Thanks
