I checked the rules and with a few of the members...but I am getting comments like I'll be DQ'd.
Is it alright to SELECTIVLY ADD or SELECTIVLY SUBTRACT grain from elements in the photo under the ADVANCED RULES?
Please advise !

I don't see why now, if you added a layer, added the grain and the erased what you didn't want grained or something like that. Hope it's okay, otherwise I'm gonna have to DQ myself.

Didn't you ask the question before the contest began? Didn't someone from the SC pipe in saying it was ok under advanced rules?
REMINDER: Please vote as if something is legal and request a DQ if you feel something is wrong.
Has there been a DQ request on your image? If not, don't sweat it.

I really don't see how that would be a DQ... but does the nature of this post reveal your picture in any way?

I didn't vote down a selective grain. I found it interesting and would have NEVER thought of that.

That kind of spot editting should be legal under Advanced. You should probably consider asking for an admin validation note (go to your image at the end of the voting page, and click the link below the image when displayed fullsize). The SC will then be able to officially determine whether your edits were legal or not.
