I thought I would pass this along - Kodak is offering free samples of their professional inkjet photo paper.

They need to do something, since their stock dropped 6% yesterday.

I'm expecting to get more junk emails than paper, but put my name in also! Thanks for the link.

Even if they give it away...I'll pass.

Only valid for those USA chaps anyways... :-)

Nice that they can afford to do this since they just announced they are laying off an additional 10,000 employees.

It's good marketing; most of us are married to the papers our printer manufacturer recommends/produces. If Kodak think they can compete, the best way to prove it is to send me sample paper so I can judge for myself. It's a LOT cheaper than a serious advertising campaign anyway, and it is precisely targeted to individuals who might become consumers of the product.

Think of it as the internet equivalent of those little ladies giving away food samples of new products in the market.

I opted out of the e-mail thing, but I'm kind of hoping to get all sorts of junk mail in my snail-mail. It would be nice to get something beside's bills.

Those bastards!

(I didn't order any, I just wanted to get on the bandwagon (and rouse some rabble to boot, it's my way).)

You probably missed the fine print, where it says Please allow 4-6 years for delivery.

Seriously, if they've messed up this promotion, they deserve some publicity for it. I'd suggest writing David Pogue, at the technology section of the New York Times.

I remember seeing the 4-6 weeks notice, but that was JULY!!! About 12 weeks ago! Yes, might just have to write a letter or two. Love playing the 'disgruntled customer' role. :)

I agree. An angry letter to The New York Times is perfectly in order.

Add me to the list of those who did not get the paper. Maybe I'll fire off an e-mial to David Pogue.

Belive it or not, I just got mine in the mail today. 5 sheets of Glossy 8.5X11.

I totally forgot about this. Nope - never received mine either.
