Recently I got an Imac. I've edited my "Light on White" entry and something doesn't seem to fit. My photo looks great on Photoshop, but when I submit this photo, it looks much lighter.

Are there some settings I have to change? Does somebody know what happened?

Do you use 'Save for web' or 'save as'?

save as

Hm, I had the same problem, but for me, proofing the colours while editing (View - Proof Colors) or using 'save as' including the color profile worked fine. I don't use an iMac, though, so let's just wait for the Mac people to comment. Good luck!

I checked on a PC, but my photo looks very light there also. I really don't understand!

I used to have that problem when i did "save for web". I solved it but doing:

Image -> Mode -> convert to profile -> sRGB IEC61966-2.1

that seems to sort it out. I'm not sure if it'll help with you, but I thought it might be worth a shot!

Good luck!

hmm this doesn't seem to work, there's no option for "convert to profile".. strange!

in photoshop CS2 the convert to profile option is found in the edit menu. thats on a PC though. not sure about a mac. look around the program, convert to profile has to be there somewhere.
