If you're hosting locally, you may want to check your path. If the path points to a local image, it'll load on your PC but no one elses. I'm not familiar with simple viewer, but one recommendation would be to check your file names and paths and compare the ones that do work with the ones that do not work.

OK, I just cleared my cache, deleted temporary files, etc etc etc and still am having problems loading the same images as before. Try clearing yours and see if you still load all images. |

That's my IE cache, it appears that only the loaded images a chaching, and the others, even though the thumb shows, aren't even chaching the thumbs.
Does that give any clues to anyone?

Hey Travis - Same prob as last night. With what appears to be the same solution. I loaded 115-1503_IMG.jpg (the wedding couple) into PS, and just did 'save for web' and refreshed, and it now displays fine in my copy of Simpleviewer.
By the way, every time I try to open one of your jpgs in PS, I get the following warning (don't think this makes any difference though);

Give me links to your images that aren't working, I'll do the PS 'save for web' thing, and give them back to you. Then try the test again.
Because that wedding couple one didn't appear for me at first, so I did the PS thing, saved it back to \images (locally on my copy of simpleviewer), and it works fine now.
Edit: Actually, forget that. Give me a few minutes, and I'll pick the ones that aren't working in that gallery and do the PS thing... (As you probably can't see the ones that aren't working!!)

No, Still no change.
Okay, try this. Here are the 6 images that aren't working. They're in this zip file;
//www.irishastronomy.com/jh/pics/images.zip
Put these into your \images folder and see what happens. All I did was take your originals, and did 'save for web' (very high) in PS. I noticed your original JPGs are quite large. |

Nope, are sure the images are sized exactly right?
Also, would instead of on index.html change anything? Never used the app so I don't know all that much about it.

Okay. Now I can see all the thumbnails and all the images in both Firefox and IE.
If anyone else is testing it, remember to CLEAR THE BROWSER CACHE first, otherwise you'll be seeing the old version.

Are you using Photoshop?
If you are, then open the image, and click 'File, Save for Web...'
Then in the next dialog box, select 'JPEG' and 'Very High' on the right-hand side. (Or just select the 'JPEG High' preset if you prefer)
And then click Save.
