I wanted to know what perameter settings you use in what situations. With and without post processing in mind.
Mine are as follows for just walk around shooting:
Contrast: +1
Sharpness: 0
Saturation:+1
Color Tone: 0
For any thing I plan on editing I use everything at 0 then process in Photoshop.
Thanks
Green

My default is "everything zeroed" and RAW. I have set a custom parameter with contrast +1, sharpness +2, Saturation +2, and Color Tone 0 that seems to please my friends and acquaintances right out of the box.

Yeah, I debate doing this...
But at the same hand I kinda miss the vibrancy of my old Olympus E-20N and wonder if doing such would bring my 20D to match my E20 |

I only shoot in RAW so the settings have no effect.

I see, I think I will continue to experiment, I would like to get something that looks similar to Velvia slide film, I think I will try to develop a photoshop action for that maybe. |

If you look at //www.atncentral.com, in the downloads section, you should be able to find an action that does this.

All zeros, for really high contrast situations like concert lighting, I use negative everything and adjust in photoshop afterwards.

Most of the time I use a custom set of -1 sharpness, -1 contrast, -1 saturation and 0 tone. These show up in the EXIF, as shown in EUV, as mid-low. Works for most situations but occasionally I'll change them for a particular shoot.

why not +2 sharpness +2 contrast +1 saturation 0 contrast? I use it most of the time and like it :) |
