IMO there is no "Aperture vs. Photoshop" question here. Watch the tutorials - they show Photoshop being used with Aperture as part of the same workflow and there's an "Edit in external editor" command in the File menu. Photoshop does image editing and has a decent RAW converter. Aperture does import, RAW conversion, organizing, categorizing, and publishing. So the only overlap is RAW conversion, but that's only a very small part of Photoshop which most people don't use, so I don't see it as being either/or.
