I don't know what happend with my entree, I just thought it should have gotten higher. Some people didn't understand the pride in it! These people are prideful of their marriage!

5.4 is a pretty good score for a first time.
Your photo does show pride in their marriage in my opinion.
Part of the reason that you may not have gotten a higher score is the shadows and highlights in this photo are too close to the midtones. I love how hes reaching for her, but hes actually too far ahead of her and is turned awkwardly in my opinion.

I agree with di53, 5.4 is a good score.
It may have gotten a better score if the composition was a little stronger. The line created by the 2 heads runs right along the middle horizontally. If you could have gotten that line move up a bit, that would have made a stronger composition. Also, while this is difficult, getting the heads at different levels generally makes a photo a little more dynamic. JMO. |

5.4 is a decent, above average score.
I think the coloring/toning is rather dull - their faces are too dark. Not enough contrast in teh pic.
I think I like the better, or at least it illustrates my thoughts (levels and move the midpoint, curves to add come contrast, USM 30% r-60 and then USM 24% at 2.2)

Ya well, as I stated on the comments section of my photograph, I have no idea how people could have not seen the 'pride aspect' of my picture, I mean, its written right there on the wall...

Granted its a darker image than DPC usually gets, but I thought all the technical aspects were there to do a whole lot better than it did...Yet, 112 out of 155, pretty weak.
