Tommorow night I will be attending the Nintendo Fusion Tour concert featuring bands such as Fall Out Boy (one of my favorite bands), the starting line, and motion city soundtrack. I have a photo pass to the show, which means I have permission to bring my camera and whatever lenses I want. I was very excited for this, until my friends all kept telling me that Im gonna be missing out of Im off taking pictures all night. For those who have shot concerts before, do you still feel like you enjoy the show to its fullest even while taking pictures outside of the crowd?

Im making myself crazy debating whether or not to bring the camera.

How do we know you were there if we don't see pictures :P

Let's see, you like photography and music. You have a chance to enjoy both tomorrow night. I'd say, definitely shoot the event. Not only will you enjoy it and have great access during the show, while everyone else sweats in a mass of humanity in the cheap seats of course, but you will also enjoy the show hours after it is over b/c you will have all your pictures to look at and process.

Go for it!

Seats? Ha, general admission, sweaty crowd is kinda half the fun. lol

Ive def. been taking that into consideration though, once the shows over thats it, but if I shoot it, I have all the time in the world to enjoy it.

Wait until you get into your 30's and general admission becomes a lot less fun :)

Have fun during the show! I know you will end up bringing the camera :)

I can understand your delimma because I would be going through the same conflict internally. I love pits and thats were I am at for 90% of all concerts I attend. I usually go to 8-10 a year, but not all of them are my favorite group. If Korn was coming to town and I had to choose between the pit or close seats vs. pictures I would take the pit. I enjoy the energy way to much to not be able to jump, push, shove, dance and just yell my ass off. If these are groups you like, but could stand to be off to the side taking great pictures I would do that. I went to a Papa Roach concert a few weeks ago and I wish I would of had a press pass. I think it depends on the concert and how passionate you feel about being in the crowd or taking pictures of it.

Thats exactly how I feel, but I just dont know what to do, I feel like there will be other shows when I can be in the crowd, and Im not sure how it easy it would be to get a pass again.
