I was looking at my website today at work and a couple of my thumbnails and pictures were not loading. Could a couple of you check and see if they load for you. They load on my computer.

Just click on on of the picture to view that particular gallery.

Here

Thanks

Yes they load, but you need to resize for web, IE is making crappy looking jagies on all of your loverly pictures.

Hey travis99,
all images load for me.

Maybe it was a connection bug, or your cookies.

Went to your nature album, only three thumbnails were viewable to me, and the man in the stream was cut off from the other two using the back/next arrows, just stayed on that one. Sorry bout that, hope this at least helps to find problem!!

I'm seeing this (in both IE and Firefox);

Also, typo there 'perfet'

When you go into "people" you have a mis-spelling in the word "perfect" and not all the thumbnails came up.
It seems very slow and the pics are very small.
Hope this helps!

I had a bunch missing both in the galleries and the home page. Also on the buy prints page the lines were running together. I'm running Windows XP with a Mozilla browser, latest version.

I'm seeing this as well. All the galleries seem to be missing a few photos for me. I'm using IE.

Spelling mistakes on Buy Prints page receive ( not recieve) and it's (not its) Also title is slipping down into text.
Still can only see three or four thumbnails on each page and numbering seems odd - out of order.

Hope this is helping.

Not really worried about the buy prints page, I will be taking that off shortly. But I have no idea why all the images are not showing up.

Your simple viewer is working, but on your home page, I click on the numbers in the boxes and get "This page cannot be displayed".

Hope this helps! :)

I am getting this in IE and everything seems to work. I wonder why it isnt loading in firefox.

When someone says the pic is loading okay on their PC but not on others, the first thing I think of is that the HTML is pointing to a local C:\ drive location. So it'll work on their PC, but not anyone elses.

Are you sure the photo links are set to //www.theperfectpose.com/whatever/whatever.jpg, and not file:\\c:\mypics\whatever.jpg ?

Went back and checked ... everything seems to be working A-OK! :)

PS ... I'm using FireFox. :)

seems I am still having problems. I cant figure this out. Can anyone whohas used simpleviewer help me out?

Did you check the imageData.xml file, to make sure the image files are named correctly (including case sensitive), and that they are actually called that and exist in your \images directory on the web server?

Everything is named correctly, the problem I am getting is the thums and some photos are not loading on some peoples web browsers, but on other peoples browsers they are all loading fine. Have you ever had this problem?
10/19/2005 08:59:26 PM · #22
When I went into the people section, only half the images loaded for me.

Yes - I just checked your XML file and everything looks fine - The images are in the right locations, naming etc. is correct.

Very confusing.

I compared the EXIF (metadata) for 2 of the thumbnails in PS, and it looks different somehow, can't work out exactly why. Simpleviewer might be fussy about the type of jpg compression you're using.

I was looking at //www.theperfectpose.com/simpleviewer_v18/thumbs/115-1503_IMG.jpg which is a thumbnail which doesn't load properly.

As a test you could either;

a) Try saving it again as a jpg in PS (non-progressive)
or
b) Overwrite that file with the contents of 115-1506_IMG.jpg (the face with the scarf) - That way you will narrow the problem down a bit. If the scarf pic then displays correctly in box 1, then the software is having a problem with the file format of 115-1503_IMG.jpg

Hey Travis, I've got to go now - But I'm thinking the issue is with the thumbnail jpg format for certain thumbnails, maybe you processed/saved the 'missing' ones slightly differently?

I'm not so sure that there's a problem with simpleviewer itself, because I can view;

//www.airtightinteractive.com/photos/

With no missing images, using Firefox...

Good luck!
