I am visiting family in Pittsburgh for the holidays and noticed that the local paper, The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette had a section of their top photos of the year and descriptions of how they "happened". I seemed to remember that Alansfreed of DPC had a brother that is a photographer for the paper and sure enough two of his shots were honored. HERE is the on-line link to the photos and descriptions of them. Matt Freed, I assume is Alan's brother. It is pretty neat reading how some of the shots were planned months in advance, some were just lucky and some were shot with no realization how good they were until they got back to the office.
Just another example of how much of a "family" we all seem to be at DPC. Congrats to Alan's brother and all of the photographers at the paper.

Doug, Thank you for posting this link. I so much enjoyed going through the photos, and reading the stories. My day started out on kind of a low point today, and this really lifted my mood.
