Sunday morning I went to a sculpture forum. These statues were first sculpted 20 yrs ago. They have since been moved from their original ground and now are available for the public to see. There were transfered onto aboriginal ground so a ceremony took place for a kind of change over.
Here are some shots
sculpture park

The second thing I did was in the evening. Our local soccer team played Perth GLory and won 4-0. This was my first attempt at "trying" to capture a fast sport. LOL.. It was alot harder than i thought it would be. There was a lovely man from the local paper who looked at my 75-300mm lens and laughed saying i would never get any good shots with that, so he let me use his 70-200L lens. :) Poor me.. I had a blast, although it was pouring rain..
Here are some pics from then
Mariners Game

Any comments or tips are greatly appreciated.
I got a phone call yesterday offering me a permanent media pass for the soccer games...wooohooo. I definately need to get a better lens now.

Great shots of both events, Lisa! The sports shots are excellent!

By the way, THESE are the Mariners. ;-)

Congrats on the pass, now go out and splurge on the lens!

I dunno - they don't look anything like an eight piece Dixieland jazz band based in eastern Massachusetts. :)

Sorry. :) I aged another year yesterday and you are seeing the effects of advanced silliness.
