I cannot make the buttons or bars smaller, they are part of a template that my host offers.

Made a lot of changes. Be BRUTAL!!!!

The copyright message is gimmeaminute photography since that was the name I was using when they were shot. It's still me.

I settled on Neufer Photography for the name and on:

Give me a moment.....I'll give you a lifetime

So who won the 8 x 10's? Who was close?

I also signed a contract for advertising starting in January. It's for the Pet Gazette which will be a part of the Star Gazette, seen here on line: Star Gazette

There will only be 13 advertisers on the monthly newsletter, which will go out as part of the regular paper. Then you also get an ad in the weekly pet section which is the expansion of the monthly newletter and you get an ad online at their site that will link to your own site.

You also get your ad on the calendar that will be comprised of reader's pets and the contest they will hold.

Included in this ad package is support from their end that they will help develop your ad, you can change it weekly if you want, they will work with you.

I have some faith in this on as I know the Star Gazette does their homework and they have already started the once a week pet page and been asking for pictures of pets and within a week had over 200 pictures sent to them. Their research and marketing departments are second to none in the area and are used by many other businesses in starting to develope their plans.

So, it's really official now, I'm in the photography business and the serious advertising starts in January so I have until then to pull it all together, get more shots, get better equipment (Heather agreed with IF that if showed up with a point and shoot she would question my abilities) and take a deep breath and learn how to swim once and for all.

Just so you know, you have the copyright statements still saying "Gimmeaminute Photography"

Also misspelled categories on the "About me" page.

Like the site though.

This one is much better. I looked at the other and the intro was way to busy. This is alot more pleasing, and it's alot better without the book. Great job.

Woohooooo!! Sounds like it's all happening for you Deannda!! (((hugs)))

On the front page in the middle, I personally would prefer to see a single image, not the composite. Is it possible to rotate the different shots?

Site loaded a lot better for me this time......on dialup here.

That is the name I was using when I took those shots so that is why it's under that name. Wondering if I should change that to read:

Gimmeaminute Photography (now Neufer Photography)

To cover both bases

I'm trying to avoid any java script as it will slow down the dial up users.

good call with the javascript!

very much improved photo galleries.

...only suggestion with the galleries is have them in an iframe so that the individual photos appear inside your website also, not in an external window.

Well done!

bump, already made some more changes.

I can't put the galleries in an iframe, I'm using the server's program and it's very limited. Once I get this going I can upgrade the program and do a lot more with it, but until then I deal with what I get with my free website (got a deal for 3 years all together)

Some great changes here - Looks much improved!

- Typo on 'Photographs' page: catagories
- 'About me' page reads very well
- On the Services page, you could change the following;
"Work in your home, business, work, church ..."
to
"Work in your home, workplace, church ..."

That's about it! - Looks good!

Iframes aren't supported by most browsers, infact only IE does it.
I wouldn't recommended using it.

U could make pop-up photos, then when u click on photo pop-up closes

Neuferland, what does your webhost supports ? PHP & MYSQL ?
I could hook u up with a great working photogallery, fully editable and downloadable templates.

//www.pixelpost.org take a look if u are interested.

Cheers

?? Javascript doesn't slow down any browsers! I think there has been some misunderstanding here.
Many of the photos and thumbnails seem WAY oversharpened to me, especially the ones with fine textures such as grass.
Some of the photos on the left of the home page show bad artifacting.
Many of the candids have distracting backgrounds which don't look professional to me... I'd ditch them.
Hope this helps!

What is your screen resolution set at? And which candids? Please be specific. I went through a couple of hundred shots and picked out my favorites based on expressions.

Thanks

Screen res is 1024x

I'm not keen on the candids with cars in the background (Helen and Dusty) and I would personally prune it down to just 74788, Joel, Dean and Daddon.
Almost all the shots do look oversharpened on my screen (Sony Vaio with Black Onyx screen), on a scale from mild to extreme.
Apart from the oversharpening, the rest of the shots are great.

Well, see, there is your problem! You have a really good screen while I have a crappy one, LOL!

Thanks, I'll look for more candids tonight with better backgrounds.

Now to decide on a card design

I'm seeing a lot of "over sharpening" in the smaller pics on the category pages, too. Could you have over compressed those? They're pretty small files by pixel width....hmmm...no expertise here on my part.

Where it's most evident is on the backlit hair (such as cute doggy and one of your blond portraits) and in the grass of the kid-in-wagon shots. When the larger file is open, not there....

It might be that I sized them down when I put them on the page. Used the original size which would be 640 on the longest side and then resized them to the page to use as the thumbnail or link to the original size.
